A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Warren Lasch attended the nearby John Carroll University, where he studied business management and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He then began a lifelong career in the transportation industry, beginning with a position in the corporate mailroom at Leaseway Transportation Corporation. Mr. Lasch rose through the ranks and soon became Operation Manager of the truck leasing division in New Jersey. Also with Leaseway, Lasch headed of the company’s Michigan Group, in which capacity he redesigned the accounting system and upgraded equipment and facilities. Due to the team management approach of Warren Lasch, the Michigan Group saw a 16-percent increase in annual revenue and earned recognition as most improved in terms of performance. Mr. Lasch also served the company in the position of Marketing and Sales Director in Cleveland, Ohio, and again increased revenue, this time by $350 million.

Warren Lasch left Leaseway in 1983 and helped found Robin Transport, Inc., a motor carrier devoted to the automobile industry. Warren Lasch implemented a policy of combining inbound and outbound materials on each trailer, a novel idea that saved the company money. His exceptional work led him to found two companies: Bavarian Motor Transport Inc. (BMT), which focused its efforts on the safe delivery of BMW vehicles, and Tri-Start Transport, Inc., which delivered Mercedes-Benz. BMT consistently achieved high levels of damage-free delivery and earned the Carrier of the Year award multiple times. The company has also served the President of the United States and the Pope, moving the presidential limousines and the Popemobiles. In 2004, both companies became subsidiaries of Precision Motor Transport Group, LLC. There, Warren Lasch served as President and saw the company’s revenue expand from $3.2 million to $70.2 million. Mr. Lasch has since retired from that position, but continues to the serve the company as Vice-Chairman.

In addition to his success in the transportation industry, Warren Lasch has a history of supporting various nonprofits. He supported Second Harvest Heartland, a national operation of food banks, by helping the organization find ways to minimize spoilage and maximize recoverable product. More recently, Lasch served the Friends of the Hunley, an organization focused on the recovery of the H. L. Hunley, the Confederate vessel that became the first ever submarine to sink an enemy warship. Through his position as Chairman of the Board of Directors, Lasch played a vital role in the submarine’s recovery, which occurred on 8 August 8 2008. Today, the submarine can be viewed by the public at the Warren Lasch Conservation Center in North Charleston, South Carolina.
